Business Success in Berkshire

Business Success in Berkshire 2012, BMG Events' second major business show, proved a huge success - following on the achievements of our Collaborating for Growth Business Show 2012.

The event was held on Tuesday, September 25, from 8am to 4.30pm at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading.

It gave more than 500 organisations and delegates the chance to meet exhibitors and hear keynote speakers, who are industry leaders in their field.

A mixture of small business owners, entrepreneurs, decision makers and business managers attended, all keen to make new contacts and meet new customers and suppliers to help grow their business.

As with our Collaborating for Growth Business Show 2012, held in April, the theme was again about growth, development and opportunities for all business sectors.

As well as more than 60 businesses exhibiting their products and services, there was a fantastic full-day event programme with inspirational speakers and hands-on workshops.

The first keynote speaker was Emma Gibson, partner at Shoosmiths solicitors, who talked about Access to Finance, explaining her voluntary role at Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership and its benefits for the Berkshire business community.

Then Lisa Ravenscroft, from BT Business, and Kevin Griffin, head of ITC at West Berkshire Council, spoke about the hot topic of superfast broadband and its importance to businesses.

A speed networking session, organised by The First Friday Club, brought the day to a close as visitors and stand-holders came together for two-minute sessions, run on the same principle as speed dating.

Business Success in Berkshire 2012 provided a dynamic platform for exhibitors to show their products and services to hundreds of visitors attending our event.
